Yeah, this is what you get when you mess with JS:

For a minute there, I lost myself, y’see. I’m working on some pretty heavy stuff now, and the language is not taking too kindly to all the reworked functionality I’m attempting to inject. This causes unfun things like infinite loops to happen during error recovery. And I was just beginning to think we could be friends after all…

Someone made a great music video for Jonathan Coulton’s “I Feel Fantastic” and it made me happy. While anyone who’s ever found themselves on prescribed psychoactive drugs can easily relate, it’s kind of hard to get the full effect without the visuals, I think. (there is, of course, also an obligatory WoW take on the song, as there are for so many of his songs).

(addendum) Evidently there are quite a few of these, owing to a video contest being held a while back. Also apparently Jonathan Coulton wrote “Still Alive”, the ending theme from Portal? Crazy.

Check out the preliminary site design at http://javascriptkids.com/. Right now there’s not a lot of content, and the user experience leaves a bit to be desired, but it’s off to a good start. I’m very excited by the evolution of the site’s architecture, which aims to ease the transformation of any components I write–the animation, the CSS layout, the AJAX engine–into comprehensive How-To documentation. Woot knowledge capture!
